Color Types

The gray wolf is not only gray they can be grey, black, tow-tone both black and grey, dark grey, and even white. As the wolves age their coat changes the back turns into more of a silver and the grey turns into more of a light grey. Cote color like human hair color is determined by genetics and for wolves the black gean is the dominant gean. this does not mean that most of the wolves are black the coat color is pretty closely split 50/50 with greys and blacks.
